Net Hail for Windows NT ® ver. 1.40

Introduction
NetHail is a small utility that allows you to send messages to other
computers in NT workgroups and domains.
Basically, it is a graphic user interface (GUI) for the NET SEND command.
You can send messages to one computer or to all members of a domain.
The program will not work under Windows 95 or 98.
What can you do.
Uninstall
Registration
To uninstall the NetHail program - go to the Control Panel,
Add/Remove Program. Select "Net Hail for Windows NT" and press
the "Add/remove" button.
I want to say thanks to Craig Davis (http://aeris.rh.ncsu.edu)
for helping me with design of the new splash screen for the NetHail.
And the big thanks is to Philip Greenspun (http://photo.net/philg/) for
giving me permission to use his original image for the splash screen.
By the way, the Philip Greenspun's Website is very interesting - lot of
his very original photos...
Let me know your opinion about this program.

======================== Version 1.40  =======================================
12/28/98
	Added new features:
	"Display the warning about broadcast" option in the Options Dialog
	will prevent you from sending broadcast messages by mistake.
	This option is "on" by default.
	NetHail is now resizable! It will remember its position on the screen
	when you close the program. It will not remember if you close the
	minimized program (too many complications in this case).
	To start program in minimized form - modify the shortcut to the program.
======================== Version 1.31  =======================================
08/08/98
	Added new features:
	"Add Signature" option in the Options Dialog will append the signature
	text to your message. This option is "on" by default. You can use this
	to identify yourself to recipients of your messages.
	Option "Refresh List" is working now. Use the right mouse button to
	click on the "Entire Network" or press F5 button to refresh whole list.
	It is possible to rescan just the network. Use the right mouse button and
	click on the "Microsoft Windows Network" - "Rescan Network" menu will
	appear.
======================== Version 1.3 (interim release) ==========================
07/13/98
	Added new features:
	Option to include non-Microsoft Network resources into the list of the
	computers was added. This option is off by default. You have to refresh
	the list to see changes. Attention: Setting this option on can increase
	the time needed for startup of the program.
	Customized Group branch in the list of computers was moved out from
	Microsoft Network branch. Now it's possible to expand one and hide
	another - very handy if you have many domains or workgroups.
	Option: Clear message after it was sent. If this is on, the message field
	will be cleared after sending, but the message itself will be saved
	in the History list. By default this option is off.
	Option: Include domain names into multiple selection.
	By default this option is set off. This will prevent unintended
	broadcast of messages.
	Fixed errors:
	On some local versions of Windows NT network resources were excluded
	from showing because of the error in the program. This error was fixed.
	In the dialog asking to confirm the deletion of a customized group,
	the name of the group will be shown instead of piece of random memory.
	"Clear message" button and "History" buttons now reset
	the LED-indicator of the length of the message.
	If you start program from shortcut in minimized form and the option
	"Hide when minimized" is on, then the program _WILL_ hide itself
	on the system tray. Splash screen will not be shown if the
	program is started minimized.
======================== Version 1.21 ==================================
03/17/98
	Added new features:
	One more option was added for the management of the messages. You can
	return to previously sent messages using the History List. Just use Up and
	Down arrows to scroll through recent sent messages. Messages in the
	History List will not be kept after program is closed.
	In the "Set Options" dialog you can set the size of the History List.
	LED indicator near "Send" button will turn from green to red if length of
	the message more then 128 bytes. Messages to the domains or workgroups
	will be truncated to 128 byte. This is feature of Microsoft Messenger Service,
	not NetHail.
	Fixed minor bugs
	Hide when minimize on System Tray will work only under Windows
	NT 4.0 and up.
	"About" dialog will show normal button with text "NetHail v.###" under
	Windows NT 3.51 and 3D-text button under Windows NT 4.0 and up.
======================== Version 1.20 (interim release) =====================
03/01/98	- Added new features
	"Set Options" dialog was added. Not so mach you can set now, but wait
	for the next release.
	One of the options is "Hide when minimize". If you check
	box "Hide when minimize", when minimized Net Hail will hide itself in
	System tray. By default this option is off.
	Now you can save the messages you are sending too often - "Save message"
	and "Open message" buttons were added to main dialog.
	"Clear message" button allows to remove any text from message filed.
	Licensed Users can request now the special build of the program. The
	program will show the name of the Licensee Company in "About" dialog
	box.
======================== Version 1.11 ==================================
11/29/97	- The ambiguous behavior of the program has been fixed.
	When user performed different operations over groups or
	domains selection in the list could become different from
	the "To:" box. Well, not any more...
======================== Version 1.1 ==================================
11/18/97	- The main release of new version of the program.
	- The name of the program has been changed from "NT_Hail"
	to "Net Hail for Windows NT®". There are two reasons for
	this: I was told that NT is registered trademark of
	Microsoft; I have plans to make Net Hail messenger utility
	not only for the MS Network, but for the Internet also.
	- Added "fast search" in the list-tree of computers. When you
	type a name in the "To:" box, the selection in the list
	will change to the first suitable entry.
	- Added possibility for multi selection of the computers.
	Message will be send to all selected computers and
	workgroups/domains.
	- Added support for the "customized groups". Now you can save
	selected computers in the customized groups. Both
	multi selection and customized group will keep only unique names,
	so only one message will be send to one computer or workgroup.
	- Added extended diagnostic of possible errors. Log list will
	keep up to 250 entries with diagnostic messages. Summary of each
	operation "Send" is also in the log list.
	- From "About" dialog now you can jump to my Home page at
	geocities.com Web site - just click those big green letters.
	My address:
		http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValey/Bay/1999/index.html.
	Visit me there from time to time, I will put all upgrades and
	fixes there as soon as possible. You can also send message to me
	directly from the browser.

		parameter to command line and watch for DEBUG.LOG file in
		startup directory.
